Governor Kathy Hochul, DN.Y., preached from a pulpit in Brooklyn on Sunday that citizens should be thankful to God for the COVID-19 vaccines, which she said were divinely inspired.
Hochul, who took office in August after Andrew Cuomo resigned amid allegations of sexual misconduct, also urged his listeners to be his “apostles” by convincing their friends to get vaccinated, an act which, according to her, demonstrates the love that Jesus commanded his disciples to show.
“We haven’t been through this pandemic,” Hochul said during his homily at the Christian Cultural Center, a non-denominational mega-church. “I wish we were, but I prayed to God a lot during that time and you know what, God answered our prayers. Hochul then showed off his collar which indicated his vaccine status before alleging that those who refuse the COVID-19 vaccine “don’t listen to God and what God wants”.
“I need you to be my apostles,” Hochul told his audience. “I need you to come out and talk about it and say, ‘We owe this to each other. We love ourselves.’ ”Are you in the schools? Hochul spoke with contempt of those who would seek a religious exemption from the COVID-19 vaccine.
