New York Governor: Cuomo charged with sexual harassment

According to an official investigation, New York Governor Cuomo has sexually molested several women. One of the victims has now reported him. Numerous politicians had already asked the Democrats to resign.

An employee of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has reported him for sexual harassment. The report was received in Albany County, the sheriff’s office confirmed to the AP news agency. The woman accuses Cuomo of reaching under her shirt and petting her when both were alone in his office last year. Once he grabbed her breasts.

Eleven women raise allegations

An investigation report published on Tuesday found that Cuomo had sexually molested eleven women. The women stated that the Democratic Party politician touched them against their will, commented on their appearance or made innuendos about their love life, said Attorney General Letitia James.

Two outside lawyers found out in conversations with 179 people that Cuomo’s government was “a hostile work environment full of fear and intimidation,” said James.

Impeachment proceedings planned

Cuomo faces criminal prosecution from at least three regional prosecutors in New York State who have requested evidence from Attorney General Letitia James for review. In addition, the Chairman of the New York House of Representatives, Carl Heastie, has announced that Cuomo will be swiftly impeached. Numerous Republican and Democratic politicians are calling for Cuomo’s resignation – including US President Joe Biden.

Cuomo recently rejected the allegations again via video message. “The facts are very different from what they are presented here,” said the governor. He apologized again to some of the women.
