On TikTok, fashion fans have found their new fad: film their look of the day and caption “When your outfit is cool but it only makes sense if you live in New York”. With this phrase tinged with humor, TikTokers highlight the ability that New Yorkers have to mix opposing codes without it becoming incoherent.
We must admit that only a New Yorker knows how to combine an “I love NY” tourist t-shirt with a perfecto, cardboard Bermuda shorts and a combo of high socks and square-toe moccasins. From September 8 to 14, the Big Apple Fashion Week was held and its guests who were seen in the streets gave us some lessons in New York fashion.

We keep saying it: fashion trends are not decided only on the catwalks of Fashion Week. Between two shows, the guests of New York Fashion Week took off their most beautiful street looks and from these wonderful silhouettes, we detect some trends.
It has been emulated for several months already and it has been confirmed in the streets of New York: we are talking about revival from dancers.
