“As a lawyer, I didn’t have much free time. So, after 30 years, I wanted to change careers and devote myself to one of my hobbies,” reports Francine Keiser. Two years ago she left the law firm where she was a partner to enter the fashion world as a fashion designer. “I wanted to redesign my worn lawyer’s clothes and so I started studying fashion in ,” smiles the designer. In 2021, she finally wins first place at the Paris Top Skills competition, which marked the beginning of her career.
Two years later, thanks to the «Flying Solo» collective, she was chosen to take part in the New York Fashion Week. “The fashion world is huge, there are so many designers, so many brands… It all happened very quickly, I was really happy about the selection,” she says.
Her luxurious prêt-à-porter brand “Francini K” is, as she describes, colorful and inspired by the 1960s. «My goal is to make women look beautiful with simple pieces. I always make sure to choose quality fabrics so the clothes are comfortable,” she explains. The designer is also committed to sustainable clothing that is made in Europe and is environmentally friendly. Francine Keizer’s creations can be found in her boutique at 2, rue du Nord, in Luxembourg City. The designer has already tackled her next destination – Paris Fashion Week.
