New York Expands Vaccination Eligibility

The US state of New York is expanding the circle of those eligible for a corona vaccination.

From tomorrow onwards, all citizens aged 30 and over can be vaccinated with one of the three available drugs, as announced by Governor Cuomo. Next week it will be the turn of all New Yorkers 16 and over.

In addition, people with specific pre-existing illnesses or certain professions, such as teachers, caretakers or restaurant employees, have been allowed to be vaccinated for some time. Overall, about 30 percent of New York state residents have received at least one dose of vaccine.
