New York: Everything you need to know

Two years ago, Formula E made a number of changes to the circuit and this remains the same for this weekend. The 2.32 km route has 14 bends, with a number of straight sections interspersed with a number of sharp bends. The outside of turn 10 is where the attack mode can be armed.

Jean-Éric Vergne – Winner 2018/19 ABB Formula E

Two years ago, the battle for the title was open until the very last race. A handful of riders still had a shot at the weekend’s title, but that was quickly reduced to four for the final race. Sébastien Buemi was able to join Jean-Éric Vergne, Lucas di Grassi and Mitch Evans after taking both pole and victory in the first race. The problem was: he had to start with pole again in race two, which in the end failed and he was still out. While Robin Frijns took the win, all eyes were on the last three title candidates. Vergne was able to claim the title in sixth place, the other two finished well outside the points, allowing Buemi to finish as vice-champion.

As with the previous round in Puebla, all the action will be completed in the afternoon and evening, although it will be a bit earlier than in the Mexican round. On Saturday the free practice sessions start at 2 pm and then start a second one at 4:15 pm. Qualifying and Superpole will be at 6:30 PM, while the race will start at 10:33 PM. On Sunday, on the other hand, everything will be finished a little earlier. Then the only free practice is at 1:15 PM, qualifying at 3:30 PM and the race at 7:33 PM. As always, all free practice sessions will be broadcast live on the channels of the organization. You can follow the qualifications and the race live on RTBF Auvio. If you missed the qualifiers, you can watch them replay on Eurosport 1, before they move on to the race. The same applies on Sunday.
