New York equities: recovery from weak previous week

The Dow Jones Industrial recovered somewhat on Monday from its previous week’s losses. The US leading index traded 1.04 percent higher at 33,637.66 points in early trading. The S&P 500, which represents the broad market, rose by 0.69 percent to 4195.07 meters. The technology-heavy Nasdaq 100 rose minimally to 14 056.25 points and stayed within sight of its latest record high of 14 205 points.
