NEW YORK (dpa-AFX) – The record run by Dow Jones Industrial and S&P 500 on Wall Street continued with triple steps on Friday. Furthermore, the prospect of an unchanged, very loose monetary policy to support the economy ensures that the mood on the stock market is generally good. In addition, there are mostly positive company figures as a driving force. The corona worries that have flared up again and again recently and the fear of a sharp rise in prices have recently moved into the background.
The Dow and the S&P 500 had both reached highs in early trading, but recently traded little changed at 35 510.76 and 4464.55 points, respectively. The latest economic data dampened the mood of investors somewhat: the consumer climate in the US deteriorated surprisingly and significantly in August.
