The Dow Jones Industrial, which briefly lost nearly 2%, recovered in early trading and fell only 0.74% to 28,995.99 points. The S&P 500, which has sometimes hit a new low since November 2020, recently lost 1.24% to 3532.51 points. The Nasdaq 100 tech index fell for the seventh consecutive day and initially fell to its lowest level since July 2020. Most recently it lost 1.96% to 10,573.75 points.
