No more money for Trump: The city of New York wants to terminate its business contracts with the incumbent US President Donald Trump because of the uprising of Trump supporters.
The city of New York wants to terminate its business contracts with US President Donald Trump. The reason was the uprising of Trump supporters at the Capitol in Washington last week, Mayor Bill de Blasio announced on Wednesday.
According to an agreement with the City of New York, the Trump Organization operates two ice rinks and a carousel in Central Park and a golf course in the Bronx. The company makes about $ 17 million a year, according to de Blasio. “I’m here to announce that the City of New York will terminate all contracts with the Trump Organization,” he said.
During the violent riots in and around the congress building on January 6, hundreds of the president’s supporters broke into the parliamentarians’ offices and some of the inventory was damaged and destroyed. The event was seen by many as an attack on democracy. Five people were killed.
