NEW YORK – A construction worker suffered a horrific death after being crushed by a bulldozer in Brooklyn.
The incident was reported at around 9:11 am in a construction area at 1 Java Street in the Greenpoint sector, police said.
Police said part of the bulldozer fell on the victim, who was only identified as a 46-year-old man.
The man sustained severe body injuries and was pronounced dead on the spot, authorities reported.
Inspectors from the New York Department of Buildings (DOB) were on site after the fatal accident. They indicated that an excavator extension would fall on the victim.
NYPD emergency units were working to extract the worker’s remains.
