In the coming days, New York City will undergo important changes in the weather.
The arrival of low pressure systems and a frontal system that will bring increases in temperatures during the weekend and the possibility of sleet at the beginning of next week.
Stephanie Viés, meteorologist for the Guardians of Time, explained that an increase in cloud cover is expected in the area for Thursday and Friday.
However, this will be accompanied by a rise in temperatures for the weekend that will reach 57 degrees Fahrenheit.
“For now what we are going to see is an increase in cloudiness as this first frontal system that comes from the west develops,” he explained.
“The temperature is increasing along with the cloud cover, on our Saturday and Sunday we will be in the fifties, even on Saturday in the high fifties, they are temperatures like late autumn,” he added.
For Saturday, a minimum of 46 and a maximum of 57 Fahrenheit is expected, that is, between 8 and 14 degrees Celsius.
On Sunday, temperatures will range between 39 and 52 Fahrenheit. About 4 and 11 degrees Celsius, respectively.
On Monday, Viés anticipated, rain will arrive in the Big Apple and on Tuesday there will be the possibility of sleet or winter precipitation.
“A low pressure system is forming in the south that will advance in the area starting Sunday night and will bring us unstable conditions for Monday and Tuesday.”
“The rain comes on Monday afternoon. On Tuesday, as the temperature will drop with the arrival of the cold front, there is the possibility of seeing a few flakes of sleet or winter-mix precipitation,” she said.
Temperatures during those days will range between 32 and 42 Fahrenheit.
