Starting this week, New York City opened registration for its youth employment program for next summer.
The City’s program is the largest in the country and connects young people between 14 and 24 years old with companies where they can have paid work experience during the holidays.
By participating, young people will be able to learn work, leadership and social skills in more than 18,000 companies.
In total more than 100,000 places will be offered.
All internships are paid.
There are options for adolescents between 14 and 15 years old and other types of job preparation for young people between 16 and 24 years old.
Those interested have until March 1 to register.
The summer employment program is open to those who meet the following requirements:
- You must reside within the five boroughs of New York City.
- Be legally authorized to work in the United States.
