New York City Schools Ban ChatGPT AI Program Over Security and Cheating Concerns

WATCH / New York City’s public school system – the largest in the United States – has banned its students from accessing the artificial intelligence program ChatGPT to generate texts on school networks and devices, citing concerns about the security and accuracy of the content produced, but also the risks of cheating.

New York City Schools said the chatbot would be banned district-wide, but specific schools or sites may request access to allow students to benefit from state-of-the-art technology education.
