New York City FC has qualified for the final of the Major League of Soccer (MLS), the American football championship, on Sunday. New York beat Philadelphia Union 1-2, which saw its core decimated due to the corona protocol. As a result, the home team missed no fewer than eleven players.

Brazilian Talles Magno gave his team the victory two minutes before the end with the decisive goal. Earlier, Philadelphia had taken the lead thanks to an own goal by Callens (63.). Moralez (65.) immediately scored the equalizer afterwards.

It will be New York FC’s first MLS final. The Portland Timbers, the opponent next Saturday, became champions in 2015 and lost the final in 2018 to Atlanta.
