New York, Wednesday, October 7, 2020 ((rezonodwes.com)) – Schools in New York City will once again close their doors in the face of increasing cases of coronavirus. The closure of around 100 school institutions last Tuesday was due to the rise in the COVID-19 positivity rate in the Brooklyn and Queens neighborhoods.
The new restrictions are expected to last between 14 and 28 days, while the infection curve, it is hoped, is expected to decrease again. The increase in the number of infected people has led NYC authorities to assess other restrictive measures to stem the spread of the coronavirus. These include the shutdown of non-essential services of concern to some workers.
The COVID-19 outbreaks in New York began to be reported last week and so far have not been able to be controlled in the state that was at the start of the pandemic, the one most affected by the virus and which currently has more than 464,000 people infected with the coronavirus.
In the United States, there are more than 7 million positive cases of COVID-19.
