For ten days I’m on a rocky mission in the USA. First stop: New York City! Snapshots from the second day.
Ahead of the US trip, Josh wrote to me that he had found a very good seasonal deal – a helicopter flight over Manhattan. I couldn’t say no – and a new vlog (I’m looking forward to the editing) is in the can: What a great experience! That being said, we’ve already checked out the new LEGO Store on Fifth Avenue – here, too, we’ll have a detailed post-trip article. And today’s weather was just as surreal as the sightseeing flight with the helicopter: 23 degrees, and snowfall is announced for the day after tomorrow. The anticipation of the Bricks Cascade in Portland also increases.
Dealing with Covid in NYC is similar to that in Hamburg, only occasionally no mask is worn in shops. The terrible war between Russia and Ukraine is visible in the cityscape – some high-rise buildings display the Ukrainian flag. Tomorrow we’re going to the south of Manhattan – more snapshots will follow. Summer greetings from Manhattan!
