Candy Canes, Christmas Carols & Mistletoes: This year Bückeburg Castle is being transformed into a festive winter world in New York Christmas style – even with a Rockefeller Center ice skating rink. Under the motto “New York Christmas”, Alexander Fürst zu Schaumburg-Lippe and Mahkameh Fürstin zu Schaumburg-Lippe invite you from November 28th. Until December 8th, 2024, you can experience the sparkling December atmosphere of the Big Apple on the castle grounds.
Visitors from near and far can immerse themselves in the radiant Christmas world of New York at Bückeburg Castle, where magnificent Christmas trees, shining lights and the special magic of the metropolis take center stage. The large castle park becomes Central Park and visitors have the opportunity every day to pirouette on the 300 m² climate-friendly ice skating rink and dream their way to Rockefeller Center. The festive decorations will be an unforgettable mix of tradition and glamor, in the spirit of the city that never sleeps. Another highlight: the daily light show, which encourages you to sing along with well-known Christmas carols and creates atmospheric moments. This year, the Princely Riding School is presenting its equestrian art demonstration under the motto “Christmas Impressions – magical insights into the work of the court preparers at Christmas time”.
The magic of Christmas offers plenty of inspiration for finding Christmas presents for your loved ones: inside the castle, exquisite exhibitors from the areas of interior, handicrafts and fashion invite you to stroll. Here visitors can stroll through the magnificently decorated rooms. A new large tent in the park also offers the opportunity to discover other exhibitors and their diverse products on the outdoor area. Afterwards, sweet and savory treats as well as warming drinks tempt you to linger and relax. This year, guests can also look forward to two new restaurateurs, the Braukeller from Bückeburg and Rohlfing Food Experience from Minden, who will enrich the Christmas magic at Bückeburg Castle.
