Until March 1, 2020, New York’s Winter Village awaits you in Bryant Park! What is it about ? A large winter village has been set up in Bryant Park, the park in the heart of Midtown at the corner of 42nd Street and 6th Avenue.
The Winter Village is organized around a large ice rink and various stands. All under the eye of the spire of the Empire State Building.
An ice rink in the heart of New York
The ice rink is open every day from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. The principle: first come, first served! You can obviously rent ice skates on site and leave your belongings in the cloakroom.
Please note: the price of skate rental depends on the date and therefore on the expected attendance. This ranges from $ 18 in the low season to $ 33 during the holidays.
You can also take a half-hour skating lesson: meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6.30 p.m. and on weekends at 9.30 p.m. Price of the lesson: $ 50.
About thirty stalls for a bite to eat
Besides the ice rink, the Winter Village is home to the “Holiday Shops”, a Christmas market inspired by European Christmas markets. This market will be open until January 5, 2020. Randomly along the aisles, you can find all kinds of gift ideas, from little costume jewelry to Christmas decorations and decorative items.
The Winter Village also invites you to take a gourmet break, with around thirty stands, each offering their own specialty. Try Sigmund’s Pretzels, Donuts from the Donuttery or Berg’s Pastrami.
