When Daniel Kalmann cycles along the waterfront in Brooklyn, he suddenly raises his arm wildly, swinging in the air. †My friend“We’re back!” he exclaims to a homeless man who has been bivouacking in the same spot on the roadside for years. For the first time in twenty months, Kalmann (68), born in Venlo, is once again leading Dutch tourists through Brooklyn.
