Incident during a “Black Lives Matter” demonstration in the middle of Manhattan in New York. A woman drove into the protesters on Friday afternoon and injured at least six people, as reported by the New York Post. Eyewitnesses recorded how the woman and her passenger could then be arrested by the police.
The severity of the injuries is not yet clear. But according to the first information from the police, the injuries are not life-threatening.
It is not yet clear whether the woman intentionally drove her BMW into the crowd or whether there are other reasons for this. According to the police, the woman was arrested without hesitation because she had not left the scene of the accident.
