New York: Billy Joel plays again

New York. The “Piano Man” is back: After a forced break of more than a year, US musician Billy Joel (72) is returning to his monthly performances in New York’s Madison Square Garden. On Friday, the multi-award-winning singer is scheduled to perform again at the legendary Madison Square Garden and play regular shows “as long as demand lasts,” as the concert hall announced on Thursday.

“Piano Man” singer Joel has been performing once a month at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan since 2014 – now, including the concerts he gave there before, he has performed well over 100 times and sold more than two million tickets. Madison Square Garden, where basketball and ice hockey are played in addition to concerts, was closed during the Corona crisis.
