Authorities in New York City have called a wedding to which more than 10,000 people were expected. The party was to be held tomorrow in the Brooklyn borough.
New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo said in a press conference that authorities were being tipped off about the upcoming wedding. According to him, it is not wise to have a party on such a large scale at the moment.
Cheaper
“You can get married. But you just can’t receive a thousand people at your wedding,” said Cuomo. “At the end of the day, you have the same result. It’s cheaper too!”
In the part of the city where the wedding would be held, meetings may be attended by a maximum of 50 people. For religious events in a church or temple, the limit is one third of the building’s capacity.
