Four people, all homeless, were stabbed with a knife between Friday and Sunday on line A of the New York subway.

Two homeless succumbed to their injuries after being attacked with a knife in the metro New York. The alleged perpetrator of these attacks was arrested by the police of the American city, announced the authorities of New York this Sunday, February 14. Rigoberto L. is charged with murder and attempted murder, New York police said in a tweet. According to local radio 1010WINS cited by Le Figaro, the man was arrested while wearing bloody clothes.
500 additional police officers deployed
In all, four homeless people were injured between Friday and Sunday on line A of the metro in New York connecting northern Manhattan to Queens. Two people have died and the other two are still being treated for their injuries in hospital. According to Brian McGee, deputy chief of the Manhattan bureau, the victims did nothing to provoke these knife attacks. The New York authorities reacted quickly after these attacks by mobilizing 500 additional police officers in the city’s subway to make the population feel safe.
