The busiest departure day is expected to be this Friday 23 December, the day before the holiday officially starts, with over 20,000 passengers departing. Monday, December 26 follows closely.
The number of bookings increased by 28% compared to the 2021 year-end holidays, still marked by the pandemic. For long-haul flights the increase reached 31% while for medium-haul it was +27%.
On the destination side, New York is the most popular non-European city, while within the Old Continent, Malaga, in Spain, stands out.
