New York Among the Cities With the Most Bedbugs in Residences and Businesses – NBC New York (47)

NEW YORKNew York ranks second among cities nationwide with the most bed bug cases, according to Orkin company listing.

First place, for the third year in a row, went to Chicago.

Numbers are provided by sbed bug treatment services from December 1, 2021 through November 30, 2022. This includes both residential and commercial sites.

Bed bugs are 3/16 inches long, red or dark brown, and are almost always nocturnal insects that emerge from their lair to suck the blood of humans. These pests are blood-sucking, which means that blood is their only source of food. They can travel from one place to another with ease, holding on to items such as luggage, purses, or other personal items.
