NEW YORK — The state of New York is known for its beaches, its nature, and for being home to the Big Apple. With so much to see and do, it’s not surprising that one study found New York to be among the most fun states in the country.
And WalletHub studio has determined that New York, overall, is the fourth funniest state according to a fun ranking comparing all 50 states with 26 fun indicators without having to spend a lot of money for it.
The indicators range from the cost of going to see a movie or accessibility to national parks, to casinos per capita.
Among the indicators that New York stands out the most are: restaurants, cinemas, golf courses, theaters and sports centers.
In terms of restaurants per capita, New York is in third place. New York also ranks third on the list of theaters per capita.
