The World Health Organization (WHO) has issued the highest warning level for monkeypox. The virus is transmissible through skin-to-skin contact and still spreads mainly among men who have sex with men. Although it is not a sexually transmitted disease and anyone can contract an infection.
The WHO advises gays with multiple sex partners to share the bed with fewer people to reduce the risk of infection. Anyone who does have sex should exchange contact details so that those involved can warn each other.
