From 400€, flights to New York are very affordable.

Which company to take you to the Big Apple?
Three companies are competing for the market for direct flights lasting 9 hours: United Airlines, La Compagnie and Delta Air Lines.
While the first two take you west of the city to Newark Liberty Airport (EWK), Delta Air Lines takes you almost to the heart of New York, south of Queens to John F. Kennedy (JFK).
The Company stands out from its two competitors by only offering business class seats. Thus, calm should reign and all seats can turn into beds. A power outlet and wi-fi are also available to continue working or having fun.
At what price ?
To take advantage of the services of La Compagnie, the prices are obviously higher than for Delta Air Lines and United Airlines. Count 3000€ for the round trip if you decide to leave at the last minute and around 1800€, if you plan ahead. Please note that La Compagnie operates only three direct flights per week: Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
With Delta Air Lines and United Airlines, the services offered remain classic but the prices have the merit of not soaring. Thus, for this summer, a round trip is around 1100€ but it is still possible to find tickets between 700€ and 500€ and even 400€, for the end of August. Both companies offer daily flights. Don’t panic, you will always find a way to return to the Côte d’Azur.
What about luggage?
For La Compagnie, two suitcases with a maximum weight of 32 kg are included in the price of the ticket.
On the other hand, for United Airlines and Delta Air Lines, if you choose the cheapest “Basic Economy” ticket, only one piece of hand luggage is authorized with a dimension of 22 x 25 x 43 cm. Approximately €130 will be required to take a suitcase of 23kg maximum with you.
Passport, covid and jet-lag
The United States is not the European Union and it is not so easy to get there.
First, you must be in possession of a valid passport and you must carry out an application for an electronic travel authorization (ESTA)at least 72 hours before departure, to hope to be able to set foot on American soil.
The Covid has not simplified things, on the contrary. In addition to the passport and the ESTA, you are also asked for proof of complete vaccination (14 days later, 2 doses) and a negative result for a Covid test.
Once all this is done, you can finally arrive in New York and enjoy the city that never sleeps. Which may not be your case with the 6 hour difference.
