New York: A gunman opened fire in a grocery store, at least ten people were killed.
A gunman opened fire on Saturday at a grocery store in Buffalo, New York. During this shooting, at least ten people were killed, reported several media citing the local daily The Buffalo News.
“Ten people were killed by an armed man wearing a bulletproof vest and armed with a high-powered rifle, and three other people were injured, two of them very seriously,” the local newspaper reported citing statements from a police officer present at the scene of the tragedy.
According to reports, up to five corpses were found in the parking lot, the other victims were inside the store. “I’ve been following the situation with the grocery store shooting in Buffalo very closely. We are with the people of Buffalo”, reacted on Twitter New York Senator Chuck Schumer.
A police source told the newspaper that the shooter had a camera and was wearing a bulletproof vest with a “military-grade helmet”, Canadian media La Presse reported.
This grocery store nicknamed Tops is located in a predominantly African-American neighborhood three miles north of downtown Buffalo.
