New York | A comedy gala for the benefit of the victims of September 11, 2001

Twenty years after the attacks of September 11, 2001, American comedians and satirists Jon Stewart and Pete Davidson are organizing a big humorous gala whose profits will be donated to charities helping the victims of these attacks.

The event will take place at the legendary Madison Square Garden in New York. According to what the magazine reports Variety, artists Amy Schumer, Bill Burr, Colin Jost, Colin Quinn, Dave Attell, Dave Chappelle, Jay Pharoah, Jimmy Fallon, John Mulaney, Michael Che, Ronny Chieng, Tom Segura and Wanda Sykes will join Stewart and Davidson for this evening .

“We want to salute the resilience of this great city through humor. It is dear to us to be able to do it with friends and people we love, ”indicate the two comedians in a press release.

Jon Stewart is best known for his show The Daily Show (1999-2015) doing a TV news parody while Davidson is a member of the Saturday Night Live since 2014. Davidson’s father, a firefighter, died on duty on September 11, 2001.
