The tradition dating back more than a century featured appearances by artists such as Flo Rida, Megan Thee Stallion, LL Cool J, Cardi B.

The event was monitored from the air, ground and rooftops of skyscrapers.
The security operation that Mayor Adams called a Hercules task employed the most technological advances, plus thousands of NYPD officers in uniform and plainclothes, explosive-sniffing dogs, among others.
“Attendees traveled from a few streets to thousands of miles, all with wishes for a better year than the last,” said Sergeant Carlos Nieves, NYPD Spokesman.

“You see it in the movies, you see it everywhere and the moment you see them for the first time it amazes you… all the lights, all the people, you only imagine it until you are here. And yes, “It’s incredible. It’s my second time and it still surprises me,” said Ángel Segoviano, who came from Mexico.
“It’s a very nice experience, it’s the first time I’ve come. It was one of my dreams, to come and spend a (New) Year in Manhattan and I really liked it,” said Manuel Palacios, who arrived from Canada.
“It was incredible to arrive, there are people everywhere, they say: ‘the city that never sleeps’. My wish is mainly health and to continue having these experiences, to continue traveling, to continue knowing,” said Estefanía Mejía, who also came from Mexico.
