In Bavaria, too, there is a nightly curfew from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. So you can only shoot on private property or from your own home. The cities and municipalities should decide for themselves how the ban on firecrackers is implemented in the Free State.

Burning off fireworks is generally allowed. However, there will be individual firecrackers ban zones. The list published on Wednesday includes 54 areas, including large parts of Sonnenallee and Karl-Marx-Straße, but also the old town of Spandau or the Wrangelkiez. There are also large squares and sights such as Potsdamer Platz, Breitscheidplatz and the Brandenburg Gate. The city has published a detailed list of all zones on its website.

The exit restrictions, which normally apply from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., will be relaxed for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s morning. A general ban on firecrackers is not planned. The individual cities still disagree.

New Year’s Eve fireworks are prohibited in the state of Bremen this year. After the nationwide sales ban for rockets and firecrackers, a city-wide ban on burning fireworks also applies in the cities of Bremen and Bremerhaven. People are not allowed to ignite rockets and firecrackers that they already have at home, for example from the previous year. Violation of the regulation could result in fines of 100 euros for running down and 50 euros for carrying fireworks. Small fireworks such as sparklers and snap peas, which can be bought all year round, may be used.

It is forbidden to set off fireworks this year. Anyone who violates this must expect a fine.

Hessen |
There is no general ban on fireworks in Hessen. The city of Frankfurt, the Offenbach district and Kassel prohibit firecrackers in most areas. Also in the districts of Groß-Gerau, Kassel, Gießen and Main-Kinzig it is not allowed to shoot. The nightly curfews for individual circles also apply on New Year’s Eve.

No firecrackers on all public streets and squares. Only children’s fireworks are allowed. Violations are punished with fines between 50 and 1,000 euros.

Lower Saxony |
It is forbidden to set off fireworks or to carry firecrackers and rockets on busy streets, paths and squares. The districts and large cities must specify the relevant areas in general decrees. The fireworks ban affects the crackers and rockets sold at the turn of the year, but not the crackers, sparklers and the like available all year round.

There should be no blanket fireworks ban, but numerous prohibited zones are planned.

A general ban on fireworks is not planned, however, fireworks are not permitted in public places and streets, and crowds are prohibited.
