This year’s LNSO New Year’s concerts will be joined by French conductor Gilles Masmonde, who in 2018 received the Professional Critics Association’s “Discovery of the Year in Music” award, as well as “Equanimity Trio” musicians – pianist Edgars Cīrulis, bassist Jānis Rubiks and percussionist Rūdolfs Dankfeld. The performances for this concert program have been created especially by Edgars Cīrulis and Jānis Rubiks. Pianist Daumants Liepiņš will play solo in Kamila Sensans’ Fifth Piano Concerto.
