China News Service, Yangzhou, January 5 (Reporter Cui Jiaming) On the 5th, Yangzhou, Jiangsu held the launch ceremony of the special stamps of “Xin Chou Nian”, and a large number of stamp collectors lined up to buy.

Since 1980, China Post issued the first set of Chinese zodiac stamps “The Year of Geng Shen” monkey stamps, and has continued the tradition of issuing zodiac stamps every year. The “Xin Chou Year” special stamp is the sixth set in the fourth round of the Chinese Zodiac stamp series. The staff at the first scene said that the patterns of the two special stamps in the “Xin Chou Nian” were “Strive for the Strong” and “The Year of the Ox”. “Strive to be strong” depicts the image of a majestic and indomitable running bull. The bull raises its hooves, heads forward, and its eyes are piercing. It expresses the meaning of defying hardships, forging ahead, and striving for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation; “Happy New Year of the Ox” conveys the best wishes of family prosperity and harmony and a happy reunion through the warm picture of the love between the big cow and the little cow.

2021 is the Xin Chou Year of the Lunar Calendar, which is the Year of the Ox in the Chinese Zodiac. 1 set of 2 special stamps of “Xin Chou Nian” issued by China Post, with a face value of 2.40 yuan. The staff of Yangzhou Post told reporters that this set of stamps was created by the national first-class artist Yao Zhonghua. The design continued the concept of “home and country” of the fourth round of zodiac stamps. Through the combination of movement and quiet, strength and warmth, the zodiac ox was “down-to-earth.” The spiritual connotation of “Dare to work hard, forge ahead, hard work and dedication” is vividly interpreted and artistically displayed. The stamp anti-counterfeiting method adopts anti-counterfeiting paper, anti-counterfeiting ink, special-shaped perforations, and fluorescent coding. (Finish)
