The new consoles Xbox Series X and Series S can be pre-ordered online from September 22, with delivery on November 10, reports Microsoft Wednesday.
The Xbox Series X is Microsoft’s new hardware showpiece, with faster loading times and the ability to run games at 4K resolution. The Series X gets one terabyte of SSD storage that can be expanded with additional cards.
In addition, earlier this week Microsoft confirmed the arrival of a cheaper model, the Series S. The Series S no longer has a disk drive and is fully digital. It has half the storage capacity of the Series X and runs at 1440p resolution. It is also less powerful: 4 teraflops compared to the 12 of the Series X.
The Series S will cost around 299 euros. Its more expensive brother costs 499 euros.
Microsoft also has announced that subscribers to GamePass game service get free access to EA Play, a similar service from game maker Electronic Arts. That means GamePass subscribers also get access to games like FIFA.
