Wuling provides refreshments to the Almaz RS and Hybrid models. The changes cover the interior and exterior.
The new Almaz RS has been on display at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2023. Since it was first exhibited, the new face of Almaz has maintained a modern impression.
“What is significant is definitely the appearance, the exterior design is a facelift, the front bumper and grille have been changed. The rear design has also changed,” explained Wuling Motors Product Planning, Danang Wiratmoko in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, Thursday (5/10/2023).
Danang explained that the technical specifications are still the same as the previous version of Almaz. Updates are more than just in the cosmetics sector.

New Almaz RS carries a new design with Glossy Black Front Bumper and Grille. Apart from that, a new touch is also added to the rear bumper of the New Almaz RS which is now even classier with the Wuling letter emblem as an identity that replaces the logo previously embedded on the Almaz rear door.
This smart SUV from Wuling also wears 18 inch alloy wheels with a new sporty design.
“In our interior the colors have changed, previously the Almaz softtouch was black and white. Now it’s all black. Then there is the addition of a telescopic steering feature, as well as ambient light,” explained Danang.

Turning to the cabin, the New Almaz RS features a New Classy Carbon Black Interior Style with a configuration of 7 passenger seats wrapped in elegant synthetic leather. The futuristic impression is even more prominent thanks to the new colored soft touch panel on the dashboard and the New Sophisticated Multicolor Ambience Light in several parts of the cabin.
The current New Almaz RS is equipped with a tilt and telescopic steering wheel which allows the driver to adjust the position of the steering wheel as desired. The Panoramic Sunroof is still maintained for New Almaz RS users to enjoy.
Some of the superior features that are still maintained are Wuling Indonesian Command, which is ready to help users access various settings in the car easily.
Then, the Wuling Remote Control App which connects users with the vehicle to monitor and access vehicle control via the MyWuling+ application and Head Unit. Then, the driving experience is also supported by ADAS which consists of 4 function categories, namely Adaptive Cruise, Lane Recognition, Safe Distance and Braking Assistance, and Automatic Light with a total of 12 safety supporting features in driving.
There are no changes to the engine and performance. The New Almaz RS Pro Hybrid is equipped with a 4-cylinder gasoline engine with a capacity of 2,000 cc, paired with an electric motor capable of producing 174 hp of power and 320 Nm of torque. These two power sources are combined via Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) so that they are able to work in multi modes in the form of EV Mode, Series Hybrid and Parallel Hybrid. This system works automatically to adjust battery condition, power requirements and road conditions to accommodate performance according to user needs.
1,500 cc turbocharged engine with smooth and responsive CVT transmission for the New Almaz RS Pro. On paper, it can produce 140 hp of power and a maximum torque of 250 Nm.
In terms of exterior, the difference between the two generally lies in the blue accent on the front grille and the hybrid logo embedded on the trunk door.
The New Almaz RS is marketed at a special launch price, namely IDR 398 million for the Almaz RS Pro, and IDR 438 million for the Almaz RS Pro Hybrid. As a comparison, the price of the previous Almaz Hybrid model was sold for IDR 472 million, while the Almaz RS Pro was IDR 432.9 million. You could say the price is cheaper, it will last until the end of 2023.
