New WüFi hotspot on the Alte Mainbrücke

As a regional energy supply company, WVV cares about the quality of life in the city of Würzburg and the region. This also includes the nationwide expansion of the broadband network for fast internet and the provision of free WiFi in downtown Würzburg. Accordingly, the WVV continues to expand the WüFi network.

A new WüFi hotspot was installed on the Old Main Bridge on the side of Zeller Strasse in early March, so that the entire bridge now has WiFi, according to a press release. The hotspot is one of 18 planned additional wifi stations in downtown Würzburg. Thanks to the growing WüFi hotspots, users will soon be able to surf the Internet free of charge in the city center for one hour.

In the meantime, free surfing from the bus station to the Alte Mainbrücke along the tram tracks as well as at the market place, in Eichhornstrasse and in Spiegelstrasse is possible. In addition to the new hotspot on the Old Main Bridge, other stations are to be built in the course of the year, for example in Sanderstrasse, Karmelitenstrasse or in the area between the Old Main Bridge and the Old Cranes.
