Authors of the fantastic comedy animated series “Rick and Morty” revealed the names of the new voice actors for the central characters – this happened as part of the premiere of the seventh season.
Rick is now voiced by Ian Cardoni («I.R.L.»), while the voice of Morty was given by Harry Belden (“Christmas Again”). Previously, show co-creator Justin Roiland was responsible for the voices of both characters, but Adult Swim and Hulu broke off cooperation with him after accusations of domestic violence “surfaced” against the author.
After the release of the trailer for the seventh season, netizens noted that Morty’s voice was almost impossible to distinguish, but the difference in Rick’s was still noticeable – especially when the character began to communicate in a raised voice.
However, so far the seventh season has only released one episode, so viewers will still have a lot of time to get used to the new version.
At the same time, the writers of the animated series remained in place, which should also help maintain the tone of the plot. Judging by the same trailer for the seventh season, the heroes will have plenty of new crazy adventures
