In the context of Kovid, the nations of the world have been able to bring about some restrictions and changes in general. Meanwhile, Oman has come up with some other reforms. The Royal Oman Police has announced that a new requirement has been imposed on renewing visas for driver posts in Oman.
A valid license is required to renew a driver’s visa. The new rule will take effect from June 1. Arrangements for this have been finalized in collaboration with the Ministry of Labor of Oman. Must have a license suitable for the profession on the visa, such as light and heavy.
So far, there has been no requirement to have a valid license to renew a driver’s visa. In any case, the Oman Police is aiming for a comprehensive change with the new decision.
Visas for nationals in the driver’s post will not be renewed. According to an order issued at the end of January, only domestic drivers are allowed to transport fuel, agricultural produce and food.
Small and medium enterprises in which locals are in full-time charge are allowed to employ foreign drivers in vehicles carrying agricultural produce and food, subject to conditions. In any case, if these things are not done properly, the action will be tough.
