New virus outbreak in China; 35 people were affected Langya henipavirus that has infected 35 people in China

Beijing: 35 people have been diagnosed with Lankan Henipavirus in China. The virus spreads from animals to humans. The Taiwan Taipei Times reports that the virus affects the liver and kidneys.

The virus has been confirmed in Shandong, Henan Province, China. Out of the 26 infected people, only Lanka virus was infected. The report also says that no other viruses were found in their bodies.

Henipavirus, which spreads from bats, has reportedly caused disease in Asia and Australia. The Nipah virus also belongs to the same family. The New England Journal of Medicine has also reported the confirmation of the virus in China. A report in the medical journal says that a virus that causes fever has been discovered in China.
