New ventilation for the pool

The water association Klötze wants to invest around 2.8 million euros in 2021. Also in the ventilation of the aeration tank in Immekath.

Klötze l The association assembly of the water association Klötze has now decided on the business plan for 2021. There was also a list of the planned investments. In the water sector it should be 496,600 euros and in the wastewater sector 2.37 million euros, informed managing director Birgit Lange.

First to the water area. The largest sum, 100,000 euros, relates to the renewal of pipe networks. The amount is expected to rise to 160,000 euros in 2024.

The second largest item, 90,000 euros, applies to new house connections. In 2020 it was “only” 25,000 euros. However, significantly more house connections are expected.

200,000 euros in 2022 for Mellin

In addition, the vehicle fleet (40,000 euros), software (30,100 euros), tools and equipment (20,000 euros) and office equipment (12,000 euros) should be kept up to date.

For the renewal of a drinking water pipeline in Mellin (approx. 800 meters), a commitment authorization of 200,000 euros was set for 2022 in order to be able to initiate the order as early as 2021. That is the wish of the road construction authority, which has a fundamental expansion there in its sights, as Birgit Lange explained.

The old drinking water tank in Kusey was recently torn down. A replacement building is to be built at the same location. The measure was postponed to 2023 and is estimated there at 400,000 euros. First the planning should be pushed, the group learned.

In order to be able to finance the investments in the amount of said 496,600 euros, a loan of 211,900 euros is planned. The remainder, 284 700 euros, will be financed from own resources, reported Birgit Lange.

So much for the water sector. In the wastewater sector, however, as mentioned above, investments of around 2.37 million euros are planned.

500,000 euros from the state and federal government

The largest item at 1.295 million euros is the conversion of the aeration in the aeration basin of the sewage treatment plant in Immekath. Among other things, this is intended to improve energy efficiency. Part of the planning was pre-financed in 2020 with 85,000 euros. The measure is funded with a total of almost 500,000 euros. The state administration office (352,500 euros) and the Federal Environment Ministry (144,459 euros) received positive notices. A loan in the amount of 798 041 euros secures the necessary equity, explained Birgit Lange.

The second largest item in the wastewater sector is the purchase of a sewer cleaning vehicle at EUR 516,000. The vehicle will be delivered in 2021, the order has already been initiated.

For the renewal and expansion of canals, 110,000 euros were entered into the plan, and the sewer network in Jübar is to be brought into shape for 200,000 euros.

Other expenses concern, for example, the pumping stations (a total of 95,000 euros), telecontrol technology (3000 euros), office equipment (10,000 euros) and tools and equipment (also 10,000 euros)

To finance all of this, a loan of 1.87 million euros is required in the wastewater sector for 2021.

At the beginning of 2021, the debt is expected to be 10.44 million euros, said Birgit Lange.
