“New vehicles for civil protection unveiled at state-of-the-art fire brigade training facility in Eschbach, Germany”

New vehicles for civil protection were handed over at the first open day of the new fire brigade training facility in the Breisgau business park in Eschbach. They are packed with firefighting equipment for special operations. The so-called roll-off containers alone, which are designed for the use of hazardous goods, respiratory protection and environmental protection, among other things, cost the district around four million euros. The new vehicle and storage hall was also inaugurated, where the emergency vehicles of the training facility and the material warehouse of the district of Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald are housed. State Interior Minister Thomas Strobl (CDU) underlined the uniqueness of the fire brigade training facility in the entire state. Because it was a pilot project, the state had granted 3.4 million euros in grants, according to Strobl, and Baden-Württemberg contributed a further 350,000 euros for the new hall. At the open day, visitors to Eschbach also gained an insight into fire service training.
