Berlin is to receive another delivery of the corona vaccine from Biontech and Pfizer this Friday. 29,250 cans are planned, as the Federal Ministry of Health announced on Thursday at the request of the German Press Agency. The company delivers directly to the delivery centers of the federal states.
A first scheduled delivery in January was canceled. A second vaccination center in Berlin, the Erika-Heß-Eisstadion in the Wedding district, is ready for operation, according to the responsible aid organizations. A date for the opening has not yet been set.

Berlin already received 58,500 doses of vaccine in December. Half of this remains in storage so that the second necessary vaccination can be given three weeks later. According to the Robert Koch Institute, 24 159 cans have already been injected in Berlin.
–
15 272 nursing home residents were cared for – around half of this particularly vulnerable group. You get the vaccination through mobile services. Over 80-year-old Berliners who do not live in a home will receive an invitation to the vaccination center by post. By mid-February, the capital is to gradually receive a total of 234,000 Biontech cans, including the deliveries from the previous year.
