“New US Ambassador to Bulgaria Stresses Strategic Partnership”

“Bulgaria is a strategic partner of the USA”. This was said by the new ambassador of Washington in Sofia, Kenneth Merten, during the first public appearance of this post.

He was welcomed with a business breakfast by members of the American Chamber of Commerce.

“As I said in my speech before the Congress in Washington, Bulgaria is a strategic partner and ally of the USA.

We work side by side on strategic issues, we cooperate in the security sector, we work in the direction of energy diversification and regional integration for the sake of preserving democratic norms”, said Merten.
