In the aftermath of urban violence in the La Duchère district in Lyon, 13 vehicles were set on fire this Friday evening in Rillieux-la-Pape, in the Lyon suburbs.
The incidents occurred from 7.15 p.m. in the Alagniers district. About thirty individuals advanced “in very compact, very mobile groups”, stoning buses and setting fire to vehicles in their path.
Calm returned after the deployment of an imposing police force. At least 6 people were arrested.

This violence follows the clashes that erupted Thursday evening in the district of La Duchère in Lyon. Six vehicles had been set on fire and the police were targeted. Three suspects, including two minors, must be brought to justice on Saturday.
