Because for years one of their relatives disappeared and they still have no news… Because their son, their daughter or their husband was killed and they still don’t know who the murderer is… these families want to know and help relaunch investigations that are now stalled. Police, gendarmerie and chancellery meet together on a television set to revive unsolved cases.

M6, in collaboration with the Ministries of the Interior and Justice, is mobilizing to help these families by launching live calls for witnesses.

Alongside Julien Courbet, Nathalie Renoux and the authorities, the families of victims will come to testify on set and talk about their fight, their hopes, but also their expectations of this “Call for witnesses”. Each file treated on the air will give rise to a reminder of the facts in images (without reconstruction). On set, investigators, judges, experts and relatives will come and explain to us what their expectations are.

For the first time, special envoys will be in each region where business has taken place. Viewers, through social networks (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) will be able to interact during the show with Julien Courbet and Nathalie Renoux, to share their questions.

New unsolved cases:

Caroline Marcel – unsolved murder (2008, Loiret)

What happened on the evening of June 22, 2008? A 45-year-old mother, divorced, Caroline Marcel was found dead in the Loiret river, in Olivet. On June 22, 2008, she left for a jog around 8:00 p.m. She was allegedly attacked from behind and strangled with her T-shirt. His body was then thrown into the river, erasing all fingerprints.

Main Tracks :
– A sexual predator: a hundred meters from the crime scene, a rehabilitation center accommodates former prisoners convicted, among other things, of sexual offences.
– The sentimental track: in the agency where this banker worked, Caroline Marcel aroused covetousness. In 2006, Caroline leaves her husband for her new manager, a jealous man.

Léa Petitgas – worrying disappearance (2017, Nantes)

What happened to Léa Petitgas? On the evening of December 13, 2017, Léa, a 20-year-old student, had dinner with a friend in her small apartment in the center of Nantes. The young man leaves the young woman’s home around 11:30 p.m. Léa wants to go to bed early in order to be on time the next day at her new job. The girl’s friend is the last to have seen her. The next day, Léa would have left her home around 8:30 a.m., taking her computer and her mobile phone with her. She will never show up at her place of work and will give no more signs of life.

Main tracks :
– Voluntary disappearance: Léa was a very sociable young woman, she could have followed friends and left everything without asking questions.
– The family circle: Léa had rather tense relations with certain members of her family, one of whom is perhaps a potential suspect.
– The bad meeting: at his home everything was perfectly in order. Léa would therefore have met her attacker on leaving her home on the morning of December 14. At the same time a rapist was prowling in the city of Nantes.

Jacky Hecquet – unsolved murder (2002, Viarmes, Val-d’Oise)

Who attacked Jacky Hecquet? On February 1, 2002, Jacky Hecquet, a 38-year-old father, mason, was working on a building site. His van, to which is attached a plaster machine worth €20,000, is parked opposite the house. At 11:15 am, an individual tries to steal this van. Jacky starts running behind the vehicle and manages to get on the running board. But the thief brakes suddenly, Jacky Hecquet is then violently thrown in front of the truck. He dies crushed by the van. The thief and his accomplice managed to flee, abandoning the truck. They will never be found.

Main tracks:
– A jealous competitor: the plaster machine being worth a fairly substantial sum, the investigators wonder if a rival would not have tried to steal it from him.
-A theft by opportunity: thieves could have crossed paths with Jacky Hecquet that morning. Having spotted the plaster machine, they would have attacked the craftsman with the sole aim of seizing his equipment.
-A crow sent several anonymous letters to the police and the victim’s family pointing to locals.

The show will also cover the case Delphine Jubillar, this mysterious nurse who disappeared in December 2020.

The guests :
– Prosecutor of Nantes – Renaud Gaudeul
– Prosecutor of Orléans – Emmanuelle Bochenek
