It has been decided that a new TV anime in the Shinkalion series, Shinkalion Change the World, will be produced.
“Shinkalion” is a project created by three companies: JR East Planning, Shogakukan Shueisha Productions, and Takara Tomy. In 2018, the TV anime “Shinkansen Henkei Robo Shinkalion” and in 2021 “Shinkansen transformation robot Shinkalion Z” was broadcast, and in 2019, “Shinkansen Transformation Robot Shinkalion: The God-Speed ALFA-X from the Future” was released. For “Shinkalion Change the World,” Signal MD and Production IG will work together to produce the animation, while SMDE will continue to produce the CG animation.
At the same time, a special report was released that begins with the image of a young sister and brother looking at the E5 Shinkansen being transported by land while singing the children’s song “The Railway Continues Nowhere”. Expectations for the new “Shinkalion” story are high, such as the hand holding up a card key with the words “ERDA (Evolution Railway Development Agency)” on it, the figure of the boy who seems to be the main character, and the Shinkalion-like aircraft reflected in his eyes.
