New turn in soap political party Think | Inland

The treasurer waved last Friday, leaving only two board members. According to Denk, this goes against the statutes, because the party board must consist of an odd number of at least three members. “This means that a general members’ meeting must be organized as soon as possible to choose a new (interim) board,” the party said.

MP Selcuk Öztürk is still on the board. He has a row with former party leader Tunahan Kuzu.

Kuzu was recently accused of having an extra-marital affair in which he had exceeded the limits of the proper. It cost him party leadership.

According to Kuzu, it was Özturk who was responsible for distributing this information. He would have done that out of power. Kuzu and fellow party member Farid Azarkan have recently moved closer together and have increasingly excluded Özturk. By revealing sensitive information about Kuzu, Öztürk tried to protect his spot.

Azarkan is now the leader of Denk. He said at the beginning of April that he wanted the board of Denk to resign. He would have done that after pressure from various local groups. Several board members have left in the meantime, including the treasurer.

Özturk has not yet responded to the latest developments.
