BEG is investing funds for the changeover from a special program of the Free State worth 30 million euros.
After the reduction in VAT on train tickets was decided in December, it will be implemented throughout Germany in local transport: For example, the Bavaria ticket for local transport in Bavaria in 2nd class will be a good 6 percent cheaper.
There are some changes on the routes in the Ingolstadt region:
? New trains for Audi: From June 14, four additional trains of the Bavarian Regiobahn (BRB) will stop at the new Ingolstadt Audi station, which has been in operation since December 2019, on the Ingolstadt – Eichstätt Stadt route. In the mornings, the BRB connections depart from Ingolstadt Hbf at 5.07 a.m. and 6.06 a.m. In the evening, two trains from Eichstätt stop in Ingolstadt Audi and arrive in Ingolstadt Hbf at 4:53 p.m. and 6:55 p.m.
In addition, there is a stop on Friday for the BRB train, which arrives at the main station in Ingolstadt at 3:53 p.m. For passengers from Nuremberg, the Regional Express will start at 6.06 a.m. instead of 6.08 a.m. at Nuremberg main station in the direction of Ingolstadt. In Ingolstadt Nord, passengers have a connection to Treuchtlingen at 6.54 a.m., with a stop in Ingolstadt Audi.
? Ingolstadt – Nuremberg line: Mondays to Thursdays an additional train runs from Ingolstadt Hbf via Ingolstadt Nord, Kinding and Allersberg to Nürnberg Hbf at 17:37 (arrival at 18:21). The “Coradia Continental” (ET 1440) new vehicles will be used on the shuttle trains between Nuremberg and Allersberg and will also operate on Saturday. From December 2020, this connection will become the new S-Bahn line S 5.
? Ingolstadt – Ulm route: The Donauwörth train station is being developed barrier-free. Passengers therefore have to change trains temporarily on most trains in Donauwörth.
? Ingolstadt Nord – Regensburg route: In order to avoid delays in the highly stressed Ingolstadt node, four Agilis trains are not used on the section between Ingolstadt Nord and Ingolstadt Hbf.
? Couple Valley Railway Augsburg – Ingolstadt: During the Bavarian State Exhibition in Wittelsbacher Land, a 30-minute interval between Augsburg and Aichach will be set up on Saturdays, Sundays and Sundays until November 8th. This makes it easier for visitors to get to the state exhibition in Aichach and Friedberg.
? Bahnhalt Brunnen: With a delay of several years, the new Brunnen station on the Augsburg – Ingolstadt route goes into operation on September 13 in three months. From then on, all trains of the Bavarian Regiobahn stop at the new stop, which is between the stations Schrobenhausen and Ingolstadt Hbf. DK
